Mikala Senior 2009

Cool... Fun... Invigorating... all words that describe Mikala. We shot down at my favorite farm at Hauser, last weekend. What a pleasure it was to spend a few hours with her, shooting around an old barn, in and on some hay bales, along old, rustic fences, and more. It's always so nice to shoot with someone who is so willing to do whatever it takes to get a great shot, and Mikala was perfect. Here are some of my faves.

Have the best year, ever, Mikala, and thanks for letting me shoot you!

September Family Discount

It's getting to be that time -- if you're planning on getting your family pictures taken, you should book your session now! All of September, if you mention my blog, you will get a 10% discount on the session fee. There are so many possibilities for nice locations -- old farms, downtown, beaches, leaves... Don't let winter creep up on you and catch you by surprise! If senior pictures already caught you by surprise, I can still fit you in, but you'll need to call or email right away!

Jacque Senior 2009

How cold could it possibly be on the last weekend of August? Jacque, her mother and I found out! Cooooooold. Jacque was shivering through most of the poses, and covered up in a nice, warm blanket between shots. I wished I was covered up, too! Thanks to Jacque's grandpa, who suggested that I wear surgical gloves while shooting -- it actually helps to keep your hands warm. Who'da thought? I looked like a freak, but some would say that about me even without the gloves :) Jacque was a real doll, and she has tons of cool friends (I know, because they showed up for a few group shots). Here's a little taste of what we came up with.

Farmin' with Karissa, Senior 2009

I was fortunate enough to spend Sunday evening out at the farm with Karissa and her wonderful mother. We shot for about two hours, even suffering through a little rain at one point. Karissa had such a great attitude -- she hardly even complained when we had to side step the HUGE cow pies in a few places (cows make them that big??). Her charming smile made my job easy. What a blessing this trip to the farm was! Thanks, guys! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Davey: Senior 2009

Now, this is a guy that I can identify with... loves computer programming and gaming with a passion. Okay, I'm no programmer, but gaming? Love it. Davey was a real sport, because most of the shots we needed to get required an early start. So, groggy or not, we headed out, all around town, having fun, and getting some cool shots. Here are a few teasers:

Thanks for choosing me to shoot your senior pics, Davey! I hope your senior year is incredible!

Senior Portraits Discount

For the month of August, Adventures in Photography will be offering a 20% discount off the session fee for seniors. All you have to do is say that you want the discount that you read about on my blog. Pretty easy, right? Keep in mind what type of session you are interested in. We can shoot in many locations, but some of my favorites are downtown Coeur d'Alene, railroads, and some nice old farms in Post Falls and Hauser Lake. Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog!

I Shot My Son in Downtown Coeur d'Alene.

My son, Zack, and I went downtown to look around and get some shots. As usual, there was a HUGE event going on in exactly the same place, at exactly the same time. Sigh. We did have fun, though, looking through the wares of the Art on the Green Festival. There are so many talented vendors right where I live! Zack was a great sport about letting me photograph him, too. Here are a few of the keepers we took.
