Family of 3

We spent some time hanging out and shooting in downtown Spokane, and also over in Post Falls. I learned a little about bass fishing (I haven't caught a fish in about four years!), and had some fun trying to convince everyone that they would have to spend so much less time getting ready, if only they'd go bald, like me :) No one liked the idea, oddly enough. Anyway, here is a little of what we came up with.

Chad & Miranda: Engaged

What a great time, hanging out, gettin' some shots. These two are wonderful together -- they are going to have a great marriage! Plus, just look how GOOD they look with each other!

What's the word... Steamy!

She's the lord of the ring? Check it out...

Thanks, guys, for being up and willing for anything! I wasn't even sure if the last image was going to be a winner or a complete loser, but I LOVE it!! See what happens when you have an open mind!

Fun by the Club

I had the blessing of shooting this adorable girl. Not only is she cute, but she's funny, and get this... she understands MY humor! There are only like five people in the WORLD that get me.... Anyway, we spent most of the afternoon right by this old brick building that looked like it might be harboring vampires, but I made no mention of this, and she didn't FREAK OUT because it was a little on the creepy side. Her wonderful smile and adventuresome attitude made the session a total success. Check out some of the cool ones from the day.

Spring & Summer Discount

Hi, everyone. I'm gearing up for a busy summer. I have upgraded to one of the best cameras around, the Nikon D700. This is a monster of a camera, and I'm eager to get going with gobs of new pics! I'll be offering 50% off the session fee to anyone who also orders a print package. Pretty cool, eh? Check out my site for all the pricing and session info. Here are a few pics I took in the last month.

Mikala Senior 2009

Cool... Fun... Invigorating... all words that describe Mikala. We shot down at my favorite farm at Hauser, last weekend. What a pleasure it was to spend a few hours with her, shooting around an old barn, in and on some hay bales, along old, rustic fences, and more. It's always so nice to shoot with someone who is so willing to do whatever it takes to get a great shot, and Mikala was perfect. Here are some of my faves.

Have the best year, ever, Mikala, and thanks for letting me shoot you!

September Family Discount

It's getting to be that time -- if you're planning on getting your family pictures taken, you should book your session now! All of September, if you mention my blog, you will get a 10% discount on the session fee. There are so many possibilities for nice locations -- old farms, downtown, beaches, leaves... Don't let winter creep up on you and catch you by surprise! If senior pictures already caught you by surprise, I can still fit you in, but you'll need to call or email right away!

Jacque Senior 2009

How cold could it possibly be on the last weekend of August? Jacque, her mother and I found out! Cooooooold. Jacque was shivering through most of the poses, and covered up in a nice, warm blanket between shots. I wished I was covered up, too! Thanks to Jacque's grandpa, who suggested that I wear surgical gloves while shooting -- it actually helps to keep your hands warm. Who'da thought? I looked like a freak, but some would say that about me even without the gloves :) Jacque was a real doll, and she has tons of cool friends (I know, because they showed up for a few group shots). Here's a little taste of what we came up with.

Farmin' with Karissa, Senior 2009

I was fortunate enough to spend Sunday evening out at the farm with Karissa and her wonderful mother. We shot for about two hours, even suffering through a little rain at one point. Karissa had such a great attitude -- she hardly even complained when we had to side step the HUGE cow pies in a few places (cows make them that big??). Her charming smile made my job easy. What a blessing this trip to the farm was! Thanks, guys! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
